Da'Quan Bowers Tears His Achilles Today

Da'Quan Bowers
The Defensive line of the Tampa Bay Bucs suffered a devastating loss today, as Da'Quan Bowers tore an achilles tendon during off season training at One Buc Place.  This announcement was made moments ago on the Bucs official Twitter feed.  Per the Bucs, he will be going into surgery tomorrow to begin the long process of getting back onto the field.  This is truly a heartbreaking blow to Bucs fans everywhere as big things were expected from this young man this upcoming season.
Michael Bennett

The loss of Bowers means that DE Michael Bennett will take on the prominent role of being the bookend of the defensive line along with DE Adrian Clayborn.  Bennett has proven that he is capable of handling the load at the position, and now, it seems he will have possibly an entire season to man the left end of our defensive line.

We here at BuccaneerTalk.com are saddened by this news and wish Da'quan a speedy recovery.
